Optimal for 'Oil Particle Counter': ISO-MTD2.8-Test Oil
The new ISO-MTD2.8 - Test Oil is a particle count standard which contains 6095 particles per mL (≥4µm) suspended in an ultraclean hydraulic oil. It is designed to comfortably perform a quick count test according the criteria of ISO 4406 or NAS.
The particle counter has to be adjusted to 3 channels first: 4µm, 6µm and 14µm. Then four measurements of 10mL each have to be performed cumulatively. The first result has to be discarded and the last three count results will be averaged. The averages per channel should be at 6095 part./mL, 2395 part./mL and 170 part./mL.
The particle counting instrument has to be adjusted to 3 channels first: 5 - 15µm, 15 - 25µm and 25 - 50µm. Then four
measurements of 10mL each have to be performed distributively. The first result has to be discarded and the last three results
will be averaged. The averages pr channel should be 1780, 135 and 36 part./mL.
If a deviation of 20% for the first two channels will be observed when accurately performing the test then an efficient check of the
particle counter should be done by the manufacturer of the tested 'oil particle counter'.
